Science is not creationism buidoi6841 - 4/17/2005 19:55
Science uses an empirical method to come to a conclusion of "fact." Creationism uses faith. I wonder at those who argue over evolution and such. God did create the heavens and earth. How did he do it? This old mans best guess is through evolution and using scientific principles - he is a pretty smart guy after all. The most stirring account of God I ever witnessed was from the astronomer Carl Sagan. It was during a program using a light-house to represent the time that had passed since the "big bang." He went back half way and explained what the universe looked like, then cut that time in half and cut it again. when he got to the exact moment of the big bang, he explained that everything would have to turn 180 degrees. warm would be cold, up down, everything would have to reverse - an impossibility. when asked why, he stated "god." This is my belief, God is the driving force behind all of scientific knowledge, the why of original creation. argue all you want - my mind is made up. buidoi
